j surprised me the friday before vday and took me to the melting pot. YUM. he'd never been there before and any time we'd talk about going out for dinner on the weekend i'd always say i wanted to go there. it was delicious.
he also left me a couple love notes

on the real vday i made dinner, which sadly is a rare occasion over here.
i also gave him movie passes and bought us gift certificates for massages that i cannot wait to use.
